We have many members and personal friends that have followed our phenomenal growth over the last four years. In our humble beginnings we relied on cash donations from our "Site Supporters" and on advertising fees from our manufacturer and vendor partners to bring you Goldwing Country.com.
In May of 2002 we started selling accessories and emerged almost overnight as one of the major online retailers for Harley and metric cruiser accessories. We now have a huge office, warehouse and retail store in Livermore, CA and a team of 45 employees dedicated to you and your motorcycle to keep up with the demand of a growing industry. What products fit my bike model?
If you browse accessories by bike model you will only see accessories that will fit your bike. On the "product page" you can see the fitment information. We recommend that you read the reviews and advice from other members that have that experience with the product for the same bike model. Please verify the fitment information with the manufacturer's web site, especially if your bike is more than 5 years old or you have a new model.

Product reviews by Members
This is the heart-and-soul of the web site. The knowledge and experience from 100,000 plus members concentrated into one place. Every review contains information about: how long the product has been used prior to writing it, the overall rating on a scale from 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest rating. Every product also has specific ratings assigned, like "ease of install", "value" and ratings like "durability" for saddlebags or "Happy with sound" for exhausts. The question "Assuming you didn't already have this item, knowing what you know now, would you buy it again?" is the final "thumbs up or thumbs down".
The review itself can be very detailed and include installation instructions, problems, dependencies with other products and much more.

Product Availability
We try to keep all popular accessories in stock at all times and we can usually reorder any product within 1-5 business days. Products that takes longer to get show an estimated time on the product page above the "add to cart" button. If we know about products being on backorder from the manufacturer we also indicate that on the product page.

Out of stock items and backorders
We ship all orders from our California warehouse, from partner warehouses or directly from the manufacturer based on availability. We keep all popular items in stock to be able to get your order out to you right away. If we are out of stock we will re-order the product and usually receive it from our vendors in 1-10 business days depending on their inventory.
If a product is out of stock at the distributor or manufacturer then it is called "back ordered". We'll usually receive an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) so we can let you know about how long your order will take to be fulfilled. If for some reason the product is not available after 30 days on backorder we will notify you again to determine if you are still interested in the product. Backorders are shipping in the order we received your purchase request, therefore the best approach is to keep your order open so you won't loose your number in line. Goldwing Country is a significant seller of motorcycle accessories from our distributors and manufacturers for the products we sell, therefore if we are not able to get a product; usually all other dealers have the same problem. We do make this promise, if you can get the item elsewhere faster then we can deliver it to you then we will cancel you order at no charge.
Backorders have always been a problem and won't go away either, here's why:
The motorcycle cruiser industry is different from a mass consumer market like computer electronics. There are over 50 different metric cruiser models and most of them have unique products that only fit one or a few models, which is great, because we don't want to have the same bike and accessories, right? :-) However the problem is that products are produced in small batches, sometimes a thousand at a time, sometimes only a few hundred and sometimes products are produced on demand. If one product turns out to be a hot seller then the manufacturer may have problems keeping up with the demand. Also, since most of the cruiser products are either chromed or highly polished there can be many delays in the manufacturing process because it is difficult to get a perfect finish on each unit made. Both you and the manufacturer have set high standards for fit and finish so if the product doesn't meet specification then the product will not be released to the customer. Also, some manufacturers have announced products prior to release from production, which causes confusion and frustration for all concerned. If we know the product is not ready for distribution from the manufacturer we will tell you. We will also take pre-orders so you can get the product when it is first released. So if one of your goodies is on backorder, set yourself a maximum time you want to wait and see if you might rather substitute it with a different product. Plan ahead with your purchases and order during the winter months if possible so you can enjoy the riding season to the full extent of your schedule.

I would like to get a printed catalog
We do not have a paper catalog. It's the new millennium and with our online product catalog we have several advantages over printed catalogs:
- It can be updated any time. We add new products almost every day and provide you with special discounts that would be impossible with a printed catalog.
- You can see member ratings and reviews for every product
- "My accessory list", "wish list", "most popular" and "highest rated" accessory lists
- Not to mention the trees we saved ;-)

How much does shipping cost?
US Rates - We offer free standard shipping for all orders within the contiguous 48 states. Orders under $199 are charged a $7.95 handling fee. Domestic orders ship both UPS and USPS Mail.
Orders delivered to a P.O. box can be subject to an additional shipping charge because UPS won't deliver to such addresses.
We try to find the most cost effective shipping methods for all customers. Due to the added costs of shipping outside the continental US, we need to pass those fees along. Customer is also responsible for any additional customs fees, taxes and brokerage fees that may apply. If you have a preferred shipping method please mention it in order comments.
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, APO/FPO addresses - the greater of $7.95 or 10% of order sub-total, see note below.
Please provide your military rank for APO/FPO addresses.
Canada and Mexico - the greater of $14.95 or 10% of the order sub-total, see note below. We are trying to ship most Canadian orders International Postal Mail. Average delivery time is 1-4 weeks. In rare cases, we have experienced Customs holding packages for up to 8 weeks. Larger items as well as orders with a sub total of $600 or more will be shipped UPS and and we will contact you with an exact shipping quote.
Other International shipping - The shipping fee will be calculated at the time of order.
Note: The percentage of order sub-total is an estimate of shipping charges. Heavy and oversized items will have additional shipping fees and we will contact you with an exact shipping quote.

How long will it take for my products to arrive?
We are sending email notifications with tracking numbers for all orders that ship UPS and USPS Mail. Domestic delivery times from our California warehouse are usually 1-6 business days. Please note that some product ship directly from the manufacturer or another vendor's warehouse.

Become a member for free - here's why and how
- You will give us the ability to create your "My Bike" page where you can display a photograph of your bike, all of the accessories installed on your bike, all the accessories you would like to install or have that special person get for you, and an easy link to your product reviews. We can also list your bike in the "Member List" only if you are a registered member.
- Plus you can keep a wish list of your favorite accessories and list the accessories you might have for sale that you no longer need.
- As a member you are able to search for other members that live within 10, 50 and 100 miles or in a certain State.

What is the "My Bike" page?
With your free membership to GoldwingCountry you'll pick a unique membername and get a member number from us. You'll have a place to display a picture of you and/or your bike, get the "my accessories" list of all the goodies that you have installed on your bike, you'll have a wish list and you can list accessories for sale to other members. This "My Bike" is your "home page at GoldwingCountry.com can be accessed directly by visiting:>

How can I change my username?
We can manually change the username for you. Please make sure your new username is not already taken (search by members) and make sure it's between 4 and 15 characters long. Then email to support@GoldwingCountry.com your old and new username included.

How do I upload a photo of my bike?
Uploading your picture is pretty simple. First you need to make sure that you are currently logged on to CuriserCustomizing.com. Next you need to click on the "my bike" link in the top right corner of your screen.
Once on your personal user page, at the botton of the left column there is a link that says "My Images". Click on that link, then, in the middle of the next page you will see a "browse" button. Click on that and you will be able to browse the files on your computer to find the picture of your bike on your hard drive. Click on the pic then click on "open". This will take you back to the previous screen with the name of your image in this box. Now just scroll down and click on the "Save" button and the picture will be uploaded for you.
Please make sure the picture is no more than 600 pixels wide or high before you upload it. One way to resize it is to use a fantastic free image utility that can be downloaded at www.irfanview.com
Just use it to open the picture then hit CTRL-R for "Resize" (or click on the "image" menu, then select "Resize/Resample") and make the pixels wide to 600. Make sure that the "Preserve Aspect Ratio" check box is checked. Now save the image at the new size and upload this one.
P.S. If you want to use the picture on one of the Delphi Forums as your "sig pic" then try to keep the pixels wide to 350 or less and 30kbyte file size.

Can I upload more than one photo?
Only with a little "insider trick". Upload the first picture, then copy the URL of that picture and add it in the first box that asks for an external photo URL. Then upload the second photo. Voila

How do I setup a sig pic for use on the Delphi forums?
You first need to understand that if you have a "Basic" Delphi membership (the free type) you CANNOT have a sig pic! You MUST upgrade to either "Advanced" or "Delphi Plus" to be able to setup a "sig pic". Next you need to upload a pic of your bike to GoldwingCountry. Follow the steps above. Then you will be taken to your "My Bike" page. From there click on the link just above your bike photo that says "Create links and forum signatures". Then if you scroll to the bottom of that page you will see you sig pic and a button below it that says "Click here to get HTML code". Click on that one and a window will pop-up. Copy everything in that window into your windows clipboard by highlighting everything and pressing "CTRL+C" (or clicking with your right mouse button and selecting "copy" from the resulting menu.)
Then go to your favorite Delphi forum and login. Now near the top right of the screen, just below the "Prospero" logo is a link that says "My Forums". Click on that link. From there click on the link that says "My Preferences". Here is where you can define your sig pic. Click in the area where your sig is defined (if there is already something in there delete all of it). Then type CTRL-V to paste what is in your computers clipboard into that area.
All of the HTML text from GoldwingCountry should appear in there. If there is a check box below your sig definition box that says "Contains HTML" make sure it is checked. Now scroll down and click on "Apply" to save your changes. That's it!!

How can I become a featured member?
Glad you asked. Anybody can submit his or her "featured member" story. There are no rules or guidelines. Anything that you think would interest other rider's works. It could be a story about how you got into motorcycle riding, about how you customized your bike or about your favorite motorcycle trip. Subject matter is left to your imagination, just remember all types of members will read your story so please keep it focused to motorcycling and respectful to our members.
Checkout the previous "featured member" stories for ideas. Also make sure to include pictures of you and your ride and email them to newsletter@GoldwingCountry.com. We will review your story and contact you before we publish it. You'll receive a free GoldwingCountry T-shirt if we publish your story.

Is there any way to list multiple bikes in a profile?
Most members have or had more than one bike as our polls shows. In your GoldwingCountry profile you can only select the most recent one. But you can review accessories for different bike models and they will be clearly marked in your "my accessory" list as such. Make sure to add a little history about your bikes in your profile so other members know "where you come from" ;-)

How can I review products?
You have to first become a member. Please login or join now for free.
Then find the accessory using any of the following methods:

Once you are at the Product Detail page for any product you will see a link that says "Add to My Bike & Accessories". You will be asked to enter your review for that product. Once you enter your review it will be automatically added to your "My Bike & Accessories" page.

Receiving your order
Upon receipt of your new merchandise, please inspect it carefully as to contents and condition. All claims for damaged or missing items MUST be reported to us within two (2) business days of receipt of merchandise. In the event your package arrives damaged, it is the responsibility of the customer to contact the carrier to inspect the package to assure full refund/replacement. All packaging MUST be retained until the problem has been resolved.

How to change or cancel an order
If you want to make changes please contact us right away. To cancel an order you have to call us. To add to an existing order that has not been shipped please call us or place a new order online and add to note to the order comments field to have us combine both orders.
Special ordered products like custom saddlebags, seats or windshields couldn't be cancelled.

Easy Returns
Your satisfaction is very important to us. You can return any NEW and UNOPENED product in the manufacturer’s original packaging for a full refund or exchange within 90 calendar days from date of shipment. Products that have been installed cannot be returned. See for other exceptions below. - Received the wrong products?
If we make an error on the item(s) we ship to you we will happily incur all shipping costs relating to the error, including shipping the mistaken order back to us and reshipping the correct merchandise to you. There are no fees associated with this part of the process. Please contact our office by calling or emailing us within 2 business days as noted in "receiving your order" above and our customer service team will make sure your issue is corrected.
- All other returns
If you are returning an item because you ordered the wrong item, just changed you mind or for any other reason other then defects please use your return merchandise form and mail the products back to our return fullfilment center.All returns must be new, unused, and accompanied by a copy of the original Sales Receipt and in original packaging suitable for resale.
Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. Special ordered products cannot be cancelled or returned unless authorized directly by the manufacturer for exchange.
Please ship the items back to us prepaid and with the proper packaging. For your protection, make sure to insure the package. We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged packages.
We offer two options for exchanges: we will either wait until we have received your returned item before we ship out the new product. Or on your request we can ship out the new product right away, charge it to your credit card and issue a refund when we receive your return.
We do not accept returns on electrical products. All electrical items must be returned to the manufacturer for repair or replacement. We do this to ensure that you get faster and more direct service for these components.
Exhausts: Exhaust systems should be thoroughly inspected for defects in the chrome or other damage before installing onto the bike. If any defects in material or workmanship are detected you must contact us immediately of the defects and wait for further instructions. Once you have installed the pipes they are not returnable unless manufacturing defects are discovered when trying to install them. This does NOT include scratches and blemishes to the chrome, which as stated earlier, must be detected and reported to us BEFORE installation begins.

Warranties
Most items sold by us are covered by a manufacturer's warranty. Please contact us for any warranty issues. Depending on the manufacturer GoldwingCountry will handle warranty claims inhouse or refer to the manufacturer.
